It’s never really comfortable-the transformation.

Who is the real monster, the man or the animal? Who cages who? 

Cultures all across time have names for these beings: lycanthrope, nagual, berserkir, Suea Saming.
Characters with the Aspect of Body can choose between three different shifting types: werewolves, werebears, and werecats. Each have their own unique abilities.
In the world of Eden RP, all characters with the Aspect of Body share their being with another force inside of them. This does not mean they need to be a whole separate entity within themselves (in fact, we encourage folks to be very mindful of thematic crossovers with real mental illnesses).

Their lives are a struggle for control.

They are forced to shift under certain conditions, coinciding with different phases of the moon based on the type of shifter. While forced transformation under the moon is a mechanical mandate, we encourage players to invent other roleplay orientated conditions that would call their self control into question. We welcome creativity when it comes to your specific character’s aspect, but all Aspect of Body characters  must share the following characteristics: 

Universal Traits

  • The Aspect is incurable and cannot be removed through any means.

  • They are forced to shift beneath moon phases.

  • They are not domesticated animals and should never act as such. 

  • They are resistant to physical damage but harmed by the touch of silver.

  • Shifting is always painful. It is not a pleasant experience to withstand or behold.

  • Aspect of Body characters physically age slower but do still age, as their bodies possess enhanced healing capabilities.

  • The exact origins of the aspect of body are unknown and ancient. No one is allowed to be "the first" shifter, though characters are welcome to believe whatever delusions you so choose, as long as the players behind them are cognizant that its not a canon or enforceable claim.
